The Band



Dodging away from the bubblegum modern jazz rock sound of their previous effort; an EP entitled 'Poetry In Decibels' (2006), the band spent the following years searching for their own sound. The band finally pulled it through after making minor changes in their original lineup. The band's brand new sound is an amalgam of music influences ranging from The Police-era styled breakdowns, noisy off beat riffs ala The Mars Volta, Facing New York inspired rhodes moments of beauty, Glassjaw-esque sinister guitar attacks and electronica ambience that pay a legitimate tribute to the band's greatest influence; New Orleans' finest, Mute Math.



This outfit, born on the streets of Subang Jaya somewhat 9 years ago, is an experimental collaboration of long time friends. Comprising of Farez Khan (vocals and ambience), Rezza Farshah (guitars and effects), Afeq Faudzi (guitars and ambience), Hasraf Rasul (bass), Shaheed Naz (samples and effects) and Ahmad Aizad (drums), the band is currently in the studio recording their first full length album, 'In Flight Music' which is scheduled to be released end of 2008. A conceptual storyline driven album; it will be an experience like none other, worth the price of the CD.

In Flight Music - A Synopsis



IN FLIGHT MUSIC; is a modern epic tale of love, lust, deception, betrayal and obsession set in the undertone of innocence. It chronicles the life and the untimely death of a character, aptly named 'The Passenger'; an average heartbroken man on the verge of destruction.



'The Passenger', whom had just had his hopes and dreams crushed by the love of his life; a character named 'Miss Madness', unknowingly boards a doomed flight. Shattered and all alone, this album captures the tragedy that engulfs his mind and his spiralling life towards the unknown. With no hope or love to guide him, he finds himself trapped in a maze of conflict, sadness and melancholy. Drowning in his own tears, his boarded plane ironically crashes in essence of his own sadness. He eventually survives the plane crash, but finds himself lost at sea with only his fractured mind to accompany him. Finally, as he braces for his death and embraces the inevitable, he is rescued by faith and finds solace in death's embrace.
