Grant Walmsley and the Agents of Peace have launched an independent music initiative the first of its kind in Australia. The revolutionary “Ten Thousand Tunes Project” www.tenthousandtunesproject.com is an experiment that asks music listeners to aid in the distribution of 10,000 copies of the new album, hopefully creating an entirely new way for independent artists to be heard.

Track the bands progress and tour information on facebook, myspace and twitter.

AGENTS OF PEACE

Grant Walmsley says. ‘The Agents of Peace make a truly unique sound with the hard edge of rock, the heart of folk, the soul of blues , the humanity of roots, and the sophistication of jazz. AOP define a new genre.“Roots Rock” ‘.

Grant Walmsley is the founder and song-writer/guitarist of iconic Australian rock band The Screaming Jets, and is responsible for the national rock anthems ‘Better’, ‘Sad Song’ and many others. The Journeyman continues his quest as an Agent of Peace, forging new songs and sounds from the very heart of his need to create music.

Allon (‘Al’) Silove is on a modern day renaissance quest to better himself and the world we live in through art, science and philosophy. As the ‘Bard-with-the-Big-Bull-Fiddle’ (double bass), he has a knack for getting feet tapping and tails wagging thanks to his many years playing just about everything from Jazz to Metal!

Huw ‘Baby Legs’ Jones became the “Young Blood” of the Agents of Peace after his universe collided with Grant and Al. He might be young but that hasn’t stopped him from notching up a ‘stupid’ amount of gigs and carving out a name for himself from his blazing performances in pubs since age 14. Oh, he’s also a serious skater dude too.

Ammiel Warner is one of Australia’s premier Hammond Organ players. Having played with acts such as James Blundell, The McClymonts, Chase the Sun and Blue Zone, Ammiel is also one of the humblest, most laid back gentlemen you’ll ever meet. he lets his bone rattling Organ and Leslie cabinet make the noise for him.
