Goteki ( prepare for 88 )

Goteki are an unlikely mix of elements that fuse to form a unique subgenre the band call 'Death Electro' - think murder ballads and outlaw country performed to electro industrial backing.



Musically Goteki draw on 80s industrial, italo-disco, modern electro and 80s pop, then combine this with structure, lyrics and melodies more remeniscent of folk, blues, country and rock. Their songs are full of sex & death from the bleakest roots, to the darkly comic, touching on topics as far ranging as plastic surgery to robot geisha girls.



The band was founded in 2002 by Tregenza, who writes,performs and produces all the music ( joined live by Ali Star & Crash on Bass & Synth respectively ).



Their first album Goteki O/S was well received and became a major part of the UK 'cyber' genre of music of the early 2000s. After their second album 'Revolution' in 2006 they disbanded but reformed in 2008, releasing the critically acclaimed "Santa Muerte" in 2011.
