Somewhere along the way to Vegas,HESPERIA,CA.also known as the City of Progress,Gonzo Fiction was formed in the fall of 2003.Singer Jesse O and drummer Luke MC brought there old school punk attitude AND combined it with guitarist Ryne Racobs and Brian Cartony's classic rock/heavy guitar sound.Creating a clash of styles that gave new life on a scene that was on its death bed.
Adding bass player Billy Botox in the mix,Gonzo fiction began performing live shows in March 2004 and slowly built themselves as a can't miss act.Resurrecting the art of a live rocknroll show with there brash,in your face attitude which shook the foundation of music in the late seventies AND seems to have been lost UNTIL NOW.
After parting with Brian in early 2006,Gonzo Fiction signed to indie label,Mentat Records in the fall of 2006,which all most brought death to the band.After a year,Gonzo Fiction escaped and in the summer of 2007,recorded there 1st full length album,"Way Past Desperate" which was released in Jan of 2008.A testament to the bands growth and influence of great live music,"Way Past Desperate" captures the GF's raw punkrocknroll at its finest.
Joining the group in late 2007,guitar Jason Armas pushes the band on its way to conquering(OR destroying)the music scene,whatever comes first.ENJOY.
