Godfather part III also known as (G.O.D ,G3) was born in Bedstuy, NY. He grew up in the Queensbridge projects, an area rich in hip-hop history and culture. After listening to fellow Queens natives such as the juice crew, Kool G rap, Tragedy, and others. The Mobb Deep family began to make their own sound in hip-hop. Originally beginning with Prodigy and Havoc. The movement pushed on with Infamous Mobb, Big Noyd and other Mobb affiliates making an impact on the game. Proving that the new generation of Queensbridge rap would live up to their predecessors. Many ask how it all started for the Infamous IM3, well it all began in the early 90's when Godfather and Ty Nitty were out side Nitty's building. Godfather said "Nitty , we gonna start rapping!" and Nitty said "we don't know how to rap, how are we gonna do that ? G3 replied "don't worry , I got you" , after that it was all history. Godfather's first features were on "Rep The QBC" by DJ clue, Mobb Deep's Hell on Earth, Infamy,and the platinum Murda Muzik and QB Finest Compilation. In 2002 G.O.D , Ty Nitty , and Twin Gambino(IM3) released The Special Edition, followed by the 2004 CD/DVD Blood Thicker Water. Vol 1. Now in 2007 IM3 released Reality Rap LP, and Godfather is working on his Solo album Mobb Life. Along with his solo album G3 is also working on Prodigy Presents The Black Mobb CD (Flame Killer, G3) Both cd's have features from Prodigy, Erick Sermon, Chinky, Twin, Nitty and many more. Godfather with much due respect and credit is one of the realist street rappers out and proven to be an asset to reality rap music.
