In a suburb (Upplands Vasby) to Stockholm, Sweden, after the band Torture Eternal disbanded(june 2006).
A new death metal project started under the name Chaos by the remaining members,
Tobbe(lead guitar), Linus(drums) and Johan(rhythm guitars).

During the summer the 3 metal-heads worked hard to complete enough material for a demo/promo.
And in October the same year they entered Necromorbus studio to record 4 tracks also changing the band name to Godphobia. That became their s/t promo which can be described as PURE DEATH METAL AGGRESSION.

The band got a new fulltime member, Robin(vocals). He did the vocals on the first three tracks on
the promo.

The promo got the band signed with Cutting Edge Records and recorded and released "On Your Knees" early in 2007.
Prior the recording session Richard(bass) joined the band, handling all the bass-duties.

Their first gig as a band was in January in Sodertalje, Club Undertaker with Memfis. After that, really heavy gigs followed just one month later.
In Denmark, sharing stage with the Swedish legends Grave and the danish Megalomania.
They played at Malmoe Bloodbath supporting great acts like Deranged and Dismember. In Stockholm they supported Grave and Dismember once again, this time at the place Tantogarden.

With the new album out, they were asked to hit the road as co-headline on the "Icons of Evil Tour" with US death metal Vital Remains. The tour started 2007 march 30th.
10days into the tour Richard had to leave the band due to personal reasons.
They were left with the difficult task of replacing the bass player during an ongoing tour.
In Stockholm they found someone who could step in to complete the 37dates remaining on tour.
Mika(bass) joined the band at once.
After over two months on the road, all across Europe.
The band returned home and began writing new material.

In January 2008 the band returned to the studio.
They recorded 11 new tracks under the name "As Maggots Crawl".
By this time they had fulfilled their contract with Cutting Edge Records and decided not to resign with them.
After about 8 weeks the recording was done. 11 tracks of pure brutality and aggression had been recorded.

During the studio sessions, the band suffered another heavy setback.
Johan, the original rhythm guitarist decided to call it quits.

The other members decided to continue to play their brutal death metal and search after a new guitarist to fill the void after Johan. They found Paul(guitar). After a whole summer of teaching Paul the songs they ended up in late August as
co-headline on Pretzel Town festival in Stockholm with the godfathers of death metal, Entombed.

Due to personal issues they had to sack Paul and become a 4piece death metal band. They landed some local gigs,
one being as support to the mighty reunion of Desultory.

At the end of 2008 after a gig during Christmas-eve at Club Blacksmith Tobias quits the band, after having some bad history with guitarists the other guys decide to have session members for some time ahead.

2009, and a collaboration with the Austrian label Noisehead Records is made. This will make the long-awaited second album to see the light of day or perhaps the dark of night! A festival gig, Eldfesten in Koping, has been booked for this year in May.
In august Godphobia went on a twisted US-TOUR with Desolation, Season of Suffering and Dismal Lapse. Two weeks of brutality and alcohol in the west coast. LA and the stripjoints in Las Vegas will never be the same again!
At the end of 2009 Godphobia joined Mayhem on two gigs in Gothenbourg and one i Stockholm.

Now 2010, the second album is about to be released, "NECROLUST MADNESS", will see the day of light Friday the 13th in August.
New guitarists in the band, stronger than ever, more shows will follow!
Stay fucking tuned and keep it sick!
