The "Queen of Latin Pop," Cuban-American singer/songwriter Gloria Estefan (born Gloria María Milagrosa Fajardo) has been an international phenomenon for over three decades. The crossover smash-songstress got her start in 1975 when she joined local wedding band Miami Sound Machine. Scoring numerous English and Spanish-language hit singles over the span of her illustrious career, Estefan is perhaps best known for such songs as “Conga,” “Turn the Beat Around” and “Don’t Wanna Lose You.” With her intoxicating blend of Latin-flavored pop and sensitive balladry, Gloria Estefan has sold over 90 million albums worldwide and earned five Grammy Awards, making her the most successful crossover performer in Latin music of all time. In 2008, she performed her anthem “Get on Your Feet” during American Idol’s charity episode Idol Gives Back.

On writing and recording “No Llores” Estefan says, “No Llores is very special to me because of the collaboration with Carlos Santana, Jose Feliciano and Sheila E. I've always said how much Santana and Feliciano mean to me professionally and personally and how the barriers they broke down and the doors that they opened allowed us to walk through when we brought our Latin sound worldwide. The first single has a very unique blend of acoustic and electric guitar, Latin percussion and a very infectious chorus saying ”No Llores (Don't Cry)."
It is very celebratory in nature meaning no matter what life throws at you, you know not to cry over it, but rather look at it in a positive way. . . it's one of my favorite songs on the album."
Estefan's new Spanish-language album, “90 MILLAS” will be released on September 18th on Burgundy Records, SONY BMG Music Entertainment. It pays tribute to her Latin heritage with a collection of newly recorded original Spanish language songs celebrating Cuban music and culture.
