Gloria

Gloria was founded in early 2004 when Philip Vesper[*22.10.1985|guitar,voc] and Fabian G. Knof[*8.5.1985|drums,voc] bought their first drum-set. Until this time both were playing together on acoustic guitars for allready four years.



They set up their own little studio in a basement and began to write and record their own songs. In late 2004, Gloria recorded its first inoffical debut album which came up with ten tracks. Since this time Gloria startet playing at every club around and began to record their first real album, which was released in early 2006 containing 15 tracks.



In late 2006 Gloria decided to give up the old LP scheme, but making Sessions. These studio live recordings are the best way to get the feeling Gloria is up to spread in the world. Therefore, there are no more than five tracks on every Session but the releasing frequency is about every two to three months.



In early 2007 Toni Vesper[*6.8.1987|bass,voc] finally completed the band doin' the bass.



Espacially the live gigs are always a happening and followed by positive feedback. The band is still on tour.

"Die Hand im Schritt, einen Fuß auf die Monitor-Box gestellt und einen Gesichtsausdruck aufgelegt, der sagt, dass eh alles sch***egal ist, hauptsache es geht ab wie Schmidts Katze. Während andere versuchen ihren Rock für die breitere Masse durch Pop-Einflüsse kompatibler zu gestalten, frönen die Herren von Gloria lieber dem guten alten Rock´n Roll, und das machen sie beeindruckend gut. Mit Geschrei, rotzigem Gesang, schnellem Gitarren- und Schlagzeugspiel, das schon einen Hauch Punk mit sich bringt, betreten sie die Bretter, die die Rock-Welt bedeuten. Ob der Songtitel von Douglas Adams´ "Per Anhalter durch die Galaxis" [Macht´s gut und danke für den Fisch] inspiriert wurde ist ungewiss. Aber ganz sicher ist, das Gloria den Rock ´n Roll glänzend erstrahlen lassen."
