Albuquerque, New Mexico, is a smaller city of about 900 thousand people. By 2007, the music scene had been transformed into a giant rave for the average teen. It was a struggle for local bands. Glenn Mara was founded with the inspiration of music itself, and the power it can have over people. Our goal was to make something unique that could bring kids back into a struggling scene and positively impact those of our home, our city.



In March of 2008 we released our self-titled EP. Everything was self-produced, self-recorded, and self-distributed. We sold about 300 copies in the first 4 months of release. At this point, a solid fan base within the local scene was successfully established. Until then, we hadn't thought much of our lifespan as a band. It was only when we shifted our attention to how many lives we've changed with our music, that we decided to take our message to the next level. In late July, 2008, after a two week tour through the southern states, we sealed the sponsorship with our good friends, Veil Arms Clothing.



In December of 2008, Glenn Mara shared what we thought was our final show. We came to a decision to part ways for personal reasons such as college and work. Months later, though thought to be dead, we awoke from our dormant sleep with a mission to continue to write music and play shows. Our work ethics and attitude have proven us to be unstoppable. The chemistry between our members have remained positive and strong. Glenn Mara has made a comeback and will continue to team up with Albuquerque to just have a good time.
