° Giorgia was born in Ancona, a small city on the east coast of Italy in 1985. Immediately she realizes that singing is what she loves the most in her life.

° She is mostly inspired by his grandfather, a great piano player. The first song she learned by him is “O surdato ‘nnammurato”, a famous italian song, and she falls in love with italian music right away, starting to learn many songs of popular italian singers such as: Domenico Modugno, Mina, Mia Martini, Loredana Berté, Fiorella Mannoia and many others.

° Her father introduces her to rock music of the 70s-80s and she is enchanted by famous British bands such as Pink Floyd, Beatles and Queen. At the age of 13 she meets the incredible sounds of jazz and blues.

° In 1995 she participates at a TV show, “Canzoni sotto l’Albero”, that went on Canale 5 (Channel 5) on Christmas Day, hosted by Rita Dalla Chiesa, singing an italian song “Nessuno”. The same year she records a song written by Frattini/Migliacci “Questa Guerra” for charity during the Ex-Jugoslavia war.

° In 1996, she wins the “Festival degli sconosciuti” (Festival of the “Unknown”) organized by Teddy Reno and Rita Pavone, two italian singers.° In 1998 and in 2000, she takes part at the Accademia della canzone di Sanremo (Italian song Accademy of Sanremo ); she arrives at the semifinals both times.

° In 2003, she spends a year in Maine, United States, as an exchange student. This experience changes radically her life from different points of view, especially her musical view. She discovers brand new kinds of music and she starts approching music in a total different way. She listens for the first time Norah Jones in concert and she falls in love with her right away and she still loves her music and all her great job. In the same year she permorms at the Jazz District of Maine where she has a principle role in the choir. :-P

° In 2004 she graduates from Linconln Academy High School, scoring 90/100. In the same year the dream of her life comes outshe wants to attend the Berklee College of Music in Boston. She applies to it and actually gets in but unfortunately there are not enough scholarships so she has to go back to Italy. Luckly through one of her friend she has the chance to follow some classes at Berklee for a couple of weeks and this turns to be one of the best experience of her life.

° In the summer of 2006 she participates at the “Festival di Castrocaro”, (Festival of Castrocaro) and she is between the first 30 participants. During the summer 2007 she attends the Berklee Clinics in Perugia which leaves her breathless. She has the possibility to see many concerts of great artists and she’s willing to go again next year.
