If you were to take members of some of the biggest names in Connecticut Hardcore from the past ten to twenty years, throw in a case or two of beer and some instruments, you would be left with IG!
Boasting a resume consisting of such names as Hatebreed, Forced Reality, Death Threat, 100 Demons, Deathkiller, Eventide and Palehorse, the members of IG! definitely know their way around. Formed in November of 2006, Pete, Sean, Larry and Dave started writing music that strayed from what typically would be expected of them. Fast-paced, in-your-face, looking-for-a-good-time-at-your-expense hardcore/punk rock-n-roll began to emerge and the seeds were planted for rumors of greatness.
A couple of months later, it was made known that another CT All-Star, Matt McIntosh, would be jumping into the mix on the 6 string. The addition of Matt was the most proper rounding out of the band that they could have hoped for. IG! was now complete and ready to broadcast their message to the world.
In April of 2007, IG! went into the studio with friend Mikey Yeah to record their demo. When the tracks began to come together and the recording started to work itself out, there also rose an anxious feeling to get the demo done and out to the masses.
April 28th, 2007 marked the first day IG! ever took the stage. Only those who were there can appreciate the feeling of just plain fun that emanated throughout the small packed room. So get yourself a cup of cheap beer, put the demo on, crank the volume to eleven and prepare yourself because.
