Gennero is five piece pop/rock band hailing from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Their infectious brand of pop/rock may find comparisons to their close hometown buddies, THE STARTING LINE and VALENCIA. Gennero also proudly flaunt their 90's alt-rock influence. Despite such comparisons, the band has truly sculpted a unique, soulful approach to an increasingly tepid genre.

Beginning in 2007, friends Nick Margiotta (The Prize Fight) and Joe "chunk" Corcoran (The Grand Finals) got together to play a few acoustic songs for a friends party. The chemistry was perfect and they soon found themselves building an entire lineup with friends, Sean Ward (Passion), Mike Graziola and Nate Vaith (The Grand Finals). From the humble beginnings of a few acoustic songs, Gennero has grown into one of the most promising, up and coming bands in the Philadelphia area.

In August 2008, Gennero will release their highly anticipated EP, "Theres Something About Thursdays". The debut is an exceptionally catchy collection of energetic anthems bringing to mind the youthful spirit of THE GET UP KIDS with the pop sensibility of THIRD EYE BLIND. It is scheduled for both a digital and physical release through a new Philadelphia cooperative label, Someday Something Records.
