Gems Of The Curbstone

Writing music is a natural high for us. We have been writing music together for quite a few years but only when the "timing" and the mood are in alignment, do we produce what we feel is worthy of sharing.

What have we done?

"Nowhere Man" was written and recorded in the mid 90's after a long musical pause and became part of a local low budget independent film called "Rednex."

In 1998 "Pink and Blue" was given honorable mention in Billboard Songwriting Contest.

In 1999 (then known as Fragile ex) we were full of ideas that created the "Eat A Beat" Cd, later picked up by indie music record distribution label out of Lansing MI." Crest Records."

From 1996- 2002 the band Fragile ex aka Misled performed at various Florida venues & clubs. A long strange trip indeedfilled with many exasperating yet comical band stories.



Back in the studio.Gems has embarked on a new level of writing. Resurfacing with a passion even more furious than the first collection of songs.

We, (Lizzie and Pat) welcome our newest band member, drummer, Anthony Sica to this musical madness AKA "Gems". A fine addition without question. Anthony brings many years of musical and songwriting experience to the group. His superb skills as a musician and songwriter.a delicate weaving of audio textures, from suttle to "in your face" punchy and uninhibited, positively compliment the band and the songwriting through an unexpected collision of fate.



New song completed November 2007 "Tom (pretty eyes)" is not about myspace Tom. The lyrics and melody tell a familiar story.

And that is all we are going to say for now about "Tom". Yes, a very eclectic mix of songs, we know, but hey, we write whatever comes to mind and soul at the time, and the rest is history kids! ~ Lizzie
