GAMER LIFE (n) – Heavy Metal Future Flow
Reality Has 1 Name (RH1N) and TdotGdot are the players in the group Gamer Life. Their current buzz in the Mile High City did not come easy or overnight and these "Gamers" are working hard to keep building. Rh1n and Tdot started out in basement studios, killing MC's at house parties; but the duo is focused on taking the "Denver Zoo" lifestyle all over the world.
"We were saying Gamer long before people used it to talk about video games." Gamer is used as a way to describe someone who, "Lives to play the game."
The groups latest project is titled "Denver Zoo" and became a collaboration of 7 producers and 7 MC's. "Denver Zoo" is more than a album for Gamer Life, it's a mentality. The term describes the lifestyle in Denver and the way Gamer Life is moving, "We're animals. And if you notice the bars are broken on our cover." "Meaning we're taking this Denver Zoo mentality everywhere building the "Zoo", anywhere people go through the struggle." It's about making good music, and keeping true to yourself and your music.
Starting out years ago in dive bars and small establishments, Gamer Life has moved on to sell-out the Gothic Theatre (twice), opened for Bone Thugs n Harmony and DJ Green Lantern, performed twice at the 420 Rally in Downtown and have done multiple performances at almost every venue in the city. Now they look to expand and take their piece of the cake.
Always trying to progress their music Gamer Life has added a few new key players to the live line-up: DJ Mr Willis (official DJ), Count (drums), Spyder (guitar) and Elijah Pratt/ Nancy Hubanks, Naomi Ochoa on vocals. "The energy and raw emotion that we get from performing with our band has opened our eyes, to new ideas and a new sound." "It's still Gamer Life just a little more in exciting and authentic and in your eardrums now."
"Having a mic and a CD player doesn't make you a rapper…you have to entertain the fans." They are certainly staying true to their mantra. Gamer Life is separating from the pack but these boys are here to stay.
