La lhéngua própia, l Mirandés, la música i ls sous strumientos, las manifestaçones festibas, la gastronomie, toda la bibença ne l campo, i muitas outras rezones, dan-le a Miranda i al Nordeste Stramuntano an giral, ua cultura i eidentidade que merece ser acarinada, guardada i bibida.

Galandum Galandaina ye cumpuosto por quatro pessonas: Paulo Preto, Paulo Meirinhos, Alexandre Meirinhos i Manuel Meirinhos.

The cultural heritage of the Northeast of Trás-os-Montes, is a very important element of their identity and in turn a factor of development. Miranda is a border region of Castilla e León (León, Aliste, Sanabria), regions which share a very similar culture in what regards to music/ethnography - fortunately culture has no boundaries. The native language, “Mirandês”, the music and its instruments, the festive events, gastronomy, all rural life, and many other factors, give Miranda and the Northeast of Trás-os-Montes in general, a culture and identity that deserves to be stimulated, preserved and experienced.

Galandum Galundaina is composed of four elements: Paulo Preto, Paulo Meirinhos, Manuel Meirinhos and Alexandre Meirinhos. Devoted part of his life to collect, study and disseminate in the most diverse forms the traditional music of their small region. They try to give a modern touch to their work, not neglecting the rhythms and tones of traditional instruments and voices. They build most of its instruments, modify and transform the others they use. By this way they get sounds, tunings and tones that gives them a very unique style.
