Gaida

Gaida sings innovative interpretations of classical Levantine music and folk songs from Syria as well as her "breathtaking" originals and freestyle improvisations over Arabic and Latin grooves. Gaida's music reflects the diversity of her background that flows together organically and naturally; tied together by "her depth of soul" and her "evocative and expressive voice", which "transcends genre and drives directly into the listener's heart".
Gaida performed throughout the United States including Carnegie Hall, The Kennedy Center, Lincoln Center, BAM, Joe's Pub, Le Poisson Rouge, and numerous World Music Festivals. We also recorded and appeared in major films such as Jonathan Demme's, Rachel Getting Married.
