Gaedhil borns as a serious project by the beginning of 2006. After wandering for a year, the band takes a definite way with a stable formation. Originally conceived as a death metal band with pagan lyrics, the sound of the band evolves until reaching a sound that mixed the influences of all the members.

23rd October, 07 New demos recording finished

We are proud to announce that our new work is finished, completely autorecorded and produced by the group. At the moment, we are working on the artwork and in two weeks will be prepared.

The setlist of this demo is:

14th November, 07 Artwork ready and new material

The artwork for the new demo is ready (yo can find it in the photos section) and the band is starting to edit some copies to start the distribution (take a look before to order).

Besides, the band is composing what will be their next work. At the moment there are two songs almost finished and maybe some of the material from the first demo will be re-recorder and included. There isnt still a release date, but probably will be ready for summer.



16th Jan, 09 News of the upcoming demo



Finally, due to technical and personal issues, the demo will probably be released by the summer of this year. The demo will be composed by an intro, some new songs and a cover song. Besides, the band is preparing some new releases like splits.

Gaedhil (nome tomado da mitoloxía galega) nace como un proxecto serio nos albores do 2006, cando tras un ano de existencia a banda toma un rumbo musical definitivo. Concevida como unha banda de death metal con letras de tematica pagana, a banda evoluciona ata conesguir un sonido acorde coas influencias de todolos seus membros; tomando como base o black metal de principios dos 90, e incorporando elementos de diferentes estilos tanto de metal extremo como de rock.

Anunciamos a saida de J.R. do grupo, por diferencias de índole musical xa que non se atopaba cómodo co rumbo que está a tomar a nosa música. Desexámoslle o mellor no seu futuro, e dicirlle que nos voltaremos ver moi pronto.

Nestes momentos a banda está grabando 3 novos temas que aparecerán nun split co grupo navarro de Black/Doom "Lost and Forgotten" sen aínda data de publicación prevista. Estes novos temas suporán unha evolución no estilo de traballos anteriores, que esperamos non contenten a todo o mundo.
