"At last an exciting power trio led by tunes which go to the head as well as by amazing and exhilarating guitars… We can of course think of the seventies, but it's resolutely a modern band because of their sound and approach, with an androgynous singing, that goes from the tormented soul of a damned rebel to the ethereal moans of a crucified archangel!!! They excel in the art of creating dreamlike, melancholy and under pressure climates with the Fire power of nowadays rock, the aestheticism, the taste for the nineties and the arrogant spirit of timeless rock generating off-beat and ambiguous atmosphere that make the difference!!! Entrancing! "
GADWIN's music mixes melodies and aggressive riffs, mind-blowing parts and edgy parts, the whole led by an angry and melodic voice. Inspired mainly by the nineties, bands such as Radiohead, Smashing Pumpkins, the Pixies, Serafin, Baby Chaos. It's often qualified as power pop rock, grunge, noisy, but could simply be defined as 'Rock'. GADWIN was created in September 2003. Two and a half years later, in February 2006, they record the first five-title demo: 'Black Sheep Cry Black Tears'. A month later 'Don't Care' is selected to appear on 'MC1: Back in Clermont-Ferrand', a compilation produced by la Coopérative de Mai, 'listened to and approved' by the Inrockuptibles. Spotted by the independent label NOVA EXPRESS RECORDS by Lucas Trouble, the first album 'NoObjEctiON', recorded in the Kaiser studio, is available. Accommodated very well, criticisms make of Gadwin a "very promising" band. In July 2008, 3 titles of the album are reproduced on compilation n°41 of SKRATCH Magazine… In September 2008 five new titles were recorded, always in Kaiser Studio. They will be reproduced on a new compilation of the label.
In march 2010 Gadwin join Spectra Records a strong American indie label. "Nobjection" north america realease before the end 2010.
