Gabriel's successful career spans the wide gambit of television, film, music videos, commercials, theatre and concerts throughout the world. He is an internationally known and accomplished actor, singer, songwriter, arranger and More recently ,producer. He began his career in show business at the tender age of seven, appearing in numerous films in Mexico. By age 8 Gabriel had already recorded his first album. Being completely bi-lingual (English/Spanish) has offered Gabriel many opportunities. He can write and perform in either language fluently and without hesitation. He is also quite versatile when it comes to musical styles. He can produce, write and perform in all of the following genres: pop, salsa, ranchero, cumbia, bolero, guapango, Son, bachcata, plena, merengue, rock and fusion. His appeal crosses age and cultural boundaries and his witty stage presence has brought audiences to their feet across the world. Gabriel has toured and shared billing with some of today’s most celebrated stars performing in such renowned venues as: House of Blues (Hollywood, Anaheim, Chicago and New Orleans), The Fillmore (San Francisco), Staples Center (L.A) The Universal Amphitheatre (Hollywood) Irving Plaza (N.Y) to name a few. He has had the pleasure of sharing the stage with artist like Stevie Wonder, Los Tigeres del Norte, Los Lonely Boys, Camilo Sesto, Lalo Guerrero, Juan Gabriel , Francisco Aguabella, Los Van Van to name a few. Studied with Ray de la Paz, Johnny Polanco, Willy Torres, and Sang with a band under the direction of Oscar Hernandez (Spanish Harlem Orchestra) Participated in and was a featured artist in the 2006 SALSA CONGRESS organized by Albert Torres Productions at The Hollywood Park Casino. Toured with Cubanismo, Aerosmith, Lila Downs, Kid Rock, Taj Majal , Run DMC, Los Lobos, Ozamatli, Ziggy Marley, Julieta Venegas, Jaguares, Blind Boys From Alabama just to name a few. In addition Gabriel has also garnered some prestigious awards and nominations. He received a 2003Latin Grammy Nomination for the song “MIA” co-written with Quetzal. (Sing the Real) This particular song charted on CMJ for several weeks at 1 and in the top 10 for several months and it was used in Salma Hayek’s directorial debut Maldonado Miracle. Placed a song on the hit T.V show The Shield. He also won a Cal Music Award and was voted LA Weekly’s best Salsa Band. Other credits include appearances on Mun2, HBO, LATV, Channel 7 Vista L.A., Univision(Despierta America, Primera Edicion), Telemundo, La Super Estrella 107.1fm,Channel 5 Morning News, South By Southwest, 8th Festival Afro Cribeno in Ver. Ver. Mexico and tons of World Music Festivals across country. Gabriel is a multi-talented and well respected member of the entertainment community. Both respected by his peers and his fans. Gabriel is currently doing session work, singing and playing in and around the L.A circuit with different bands/projects. He continues to write songs for other artist and projects. He can be seen on T.V, film and commercials, He tours with The Solidarity Theater group across country at schools when he gets a chance. He is currently in pre production for a film he co-wrote and is producing ,he will be producing the sound track as well as starring in the film
