DESCRIPTION:
Future Islands of Baltimore, Maryland stopped by indieATL studios in 2010. Fronted by lead singer Samuel T. Herring, Future Islands performed their song "Inch of Dust" from their album In Evening Air on Thrill Jockey (2010).

"Future Islands' sound is as texturally interesting as it is rhythmically accessible - music designed for both heads and feet." - NPR Song of the Day


Fast forward to now, their new 2014 record is called "Singles" out now on 4AD records. FI is going strong after popular performances on The Late Show with David Letterman and Coachella Music Festival.
