Folk metal band that started in February 2002 as a project of 3 friends who shared musical tastes of the Celtic, Viking culture and its mythologies with some Scandinavian black metal, being pioneers in Colombia to experience this musical style.
In 2004 Futhark folk musical style changed, becoming closer to a heathen metal with influences of Viking metal bands like Bathory, Skyforger, Thyrfing, Enslaved, Burzum, Manowar, Falkenbach, among others.
For several years, the lineup was stable with Gusthav on guitar, Tristan on drums and Vintertyr on vocals in addition to several musicians who went on bass and second guitar coming to produce promotional recordings and concerts in various places in the city.
After 9 years, line up changes and some promotional recordings Futhark is challenged to continue along the path of paganism, this time with new members and the ideal of holding high the banner of battle victoriously raised since its foundation; shortly we'll return to the battle with new recordings and performances of old material and new compositions.

1-September 14th of 2002 at "Antagon bar" in Girardota Antioquia with the bands Martyr (Death Metal), The Army Pentagram (Black Metal) and Lagash (Black Metal).
2-October 18th of 2003, Festival de Rock at "Placa deportiva Urbanización la Nubia" in Medellín, with some rock and neo-punk bands.
3-November 14th of 2004, 3a Noche de Folclor Celta y Vikingo at "Valhala bar" in Medellín.
4-September 17th of 2005, live show at "Medieval Wars Place" in Medellín.
5-January 6th of 2006, we receive an invitation to play with Orgullo Nacional (RAC) and Última Advertencia (RAC) at "Vancouver bar" in Medellín.
6- September 30th of 2006, we receive an invitation to play with Hvetramannaland (RAC) at "Gato Negro" in Bello.
7-June 28th of 2008, Metal Medallo at "Teatro Porfirio Barba Jacob" with the bands Los Restos (Hardcore Thrash Metal), Posguerra (Hardcore Thrash Metal) and the legendary band Reencarnacion(Metal).
8-December 13th of 2008, II Encuentro de culturas Urbanas comuna 16-Belén at "Parque Biblioteca de Belén" with the bands Futhark (Heathen Metal), Casi Nada (Punk/Hard Core), Horde Thor (Folk Metal) and other bands of Reggae and Hip Hop.
9-July 4th of 2009, Bloody Hordes of Darkness at "Teatro La Polilla" in Medellín with the bands Mysteriis (Medieval Black Metal) and Nåströnd (Pagan Black Metal).
Banda de folk metal que se inició en febrero de 2002 como un proyecto de 3 amigos que compartían gustos musicales de la cultura celta, vikinga y sus mitologías con algo de black metal nórdico, siendo pioneros en Colombia en experimentar este estilo musical.
En 2004 Futhark cambió su estilo musical folk, tornandose más hacia un pagan metal con claras influencias de bandas Viking metal como Bathory, Skyforger, Thyrfing, Enslaved, Burzum, Manowar, Falkenbach, entre otras.
Por varios años la alineación estuvo estable con Gusthav en la guitarra, Tristan en la batería y Vintertyr en las voces además de varios músicos que pasaron en el bajo y segunda guitarra llegando a producir grabaciones promocionales y conciertos en varios sitios de la ciudad.
Luego de 9 años de existencia, cambios de alineacion y algunas grabaciones promocionales Futhark enfrenta el reto de continuar recorriendo por el camino del paganismo , esta vez con nuevos integrantes y el ideal de mantener en alto el estandarte de batalla enarbolado victoriosamente desde su formación; próximamente volveremos a la batalla con nuevas grabaciones y presentaciones de material antiguo como nuevas composiciones.
