How do they do that? By going from the BLUEPRINT! Yes, the blueprint that has been an influenced by Soul-Era Pioneers such as Ohio Players, Bar-Kays, Funkadelic to name a few. Now is the time to get ready for the Real. Tight, Funky, Crisp Grooves, many would say they are ahead of their time. But truth be told they have not strayed from the blueprint.
The Band Consist of Super Funky Heroes; CQ on Bass Guitar, Dana Scipio on Drums, Jstone Vocals & Guitar, Reggie B on Vocals and Percussion, Rick "The Ruler" on Percussion, Ron Matthews on Keys. We have The MIB"s "Men In Black " as the Horn Section.
Conceptualized by Jstone, leader of the band after being abducted by aliens as a kid he spent many years wondering what happened, why? Hypnosis led him back to his San Francisco residence where he lived as a child and went thru the experience again as an adult. Since then he has formed the Brothas From Planet Funk, a full production studio and the Funkanaut project.
Funkanauts have 3 cd's to date. "Bringers of the Dawn" 1997, "Crash Landing" 2005 & "Reclaiming the Pyramids" 2008. Collaborations with Walter Earl Pianist, Amp Fiddler Synthesizers
