It was the summer of '94, when I stumbled into a little record store in Amsterdam called "Get Records." I found the store in the Holland section of MRR's "Book Your Own Fucking Life." As a response to my customary question to hear local punk bands in foreign record stores, the owner handed me Funeral Oration's "Punk Rock Nation." After looking over the cover and trying to re-read the bands name, I asked the owner if he was sure this was Punk Rock. I began to wonder if Punk had a different meaning in Holland. Nevertheless, I gave it a listen. After the 4th chord, I was hooked. I then immediately bought the cd and continually listened to it the rest of the trip. After arriving back in the states, I found the bassist William's phone number in the same section of "Book Your Own Fucking Life," so I gave William a call and the rest is on the records. - Louis
