DJ Fumo was born in Firenze, Italy and he grew up in Tokyo, Japan. Fumo has always been around music, thanks to his parent's enormous record collection. In middle school he discovered hip hop culture, and after meeting an influential Italian turntablist DJ (DJ Gruff) he was inspired to learn the art of the turntablism.
Knowing that music was to be the main focal point in his life, he attended sound engineering school (RAC) in Toronto, Canada. In Canada DJ Fumo became close friends with PCP, an MC in the jungle realm who introduced him to Drum n Bass & Dubstep. After a few years Djing in Toronto, he moved back to his hometown in Italy where he became resident DJ at the biggest nightclub (Space Club) there. During his residency he perfected his party rocking skills. Some may call his style 'Open Format' but Fumo simply refers to it as 'DJing'. His fervent passion of studying music's origins and digging in the crates has brought him to become an outstanding cross-genre turntablist well known for his marathon DJ sets. He now lives between Florida, Tokyo & Firenze rocking every party there is. Whether it's a D&B rave, a raw underground Hip Hop live or an EDM party, DJ FUMO knows that music has no boundaries.
