WELCOME TO THE FULL MOON BARN DANCE
Hosted by the lovely and talented LEEANN ATHERTON, an Austin musician and mother, this community and family event celebrates the fine original music of Austin, Texas and the world beyond with friends, dancing, and a potluck dinner to share.
The Barn Dance occurs on occasional full moon Sundays and some holiday Sundays (Valentines Day, Mother's Day, Father's Day, Easter) so each Barn Dance has its own unique personality . Everyone is responsible for the good time!
Open Mic starts the music around 4:00 in the afternoon (sign up to play), the Bar-B-Que pits are fired and smokin', professional chefs make sure its all good, then the special guest artists and the full moon get us having a howlin' good time. The campfire after the dance is strictly acoustic. Generous hearts make it all work.
This Wonderful Event provides you with the following: Paid and Volunteer Professional Musicians, Professional Sound System and Sound Crew, Porta-Potty Rental and Removal, Volunteer Event Prep and Clean Up Crews, Potluck Grill, Cooks, Ice Chests and Ice, Plates, etc., Beautiful Decorated Party Venue, and Local Benefit Cause Support.
You are asked to please bring the following:
$10 LOVE DONATION PER PERSON AND POTLUCK TO SHARE such as Food for Grill, Covered Prepared Dish, (prepared food from the grocery store is fine), Beverages.
or
$20 LOVE DONATION PER PERSON without POTLUCK
Please no large bills.
CAN"T AFFORD TO MAKE A CASH DONATION? Save a little all month long. or VOLUNTEER .Volunteers needed Saturday prior and Sunday at noon (after 2pm Sunday is TOO LATE for that Barn Dance) to help set up, Sunday night and Monday daytime to pick up trash, haul trash and recycling to the street, and tables stored away.
PLEASE REMEMBER . No Dogs, No Unaccompanied Minors (Bring your parents!), No Glass Containers, Park Smart and Respect our Neighbors Driveways, Use Recycle and Garbage Containers, and please don't leave your cigarette butts on the ground.
GUEST LIST . There is no guest list except for Prearranged Volunteer Musicians and Cooks, Prearranged Volunteer Event Prep and Clean-Up Crew.
