For The Taking 2004



Hello Everybody!



Welcome to the now deceased Myspace page of the South Florida band known as For The Taking. We have indeed decided to call it quits after 5 long but insanely fun years of working on music. We have been through so many different kinds of high’s and low’s, stranded hundreds of miles from home, to 3am band practices, to spending all our savings on recordings. Before you write us off as just another broken up project, please take the time to take into consideration the following



First and foremost, we would like to give a HUGE THANK YOU to all those who were ever involved in helping this band. Some of you took the time to come out to shows, others helped spread the word, and some of you even downloaded our songs! In every way possible, we want to personally thank you from the bottom of our hearts and we would have never been able to accomplish anything had it not been for you all!



As many of you know, For The Taking went through 3 years of band life, but the actual story goes far beyond that. Back in 2002, a bunch of kids who had nothing better to than write music together, decided to form a band. We had no experience, no connections, no anything, but we did have passion and this stuck with us until the end. Loomis 88, the fun pop punk band from Coral Springs, Florida was known to basically just our friends, but this was the stepping stone to what was to come.



Last Place Champion then emerged as our next project, in which we finally started playing real shows other than just parties. With Last Place Champion, we practiced in a garage and made friendships that will last a lifetime. We started taking things seriously, and in that we then created what is now For The Taking.



While the time in all of this will never be forgotten, we will move on to the present. Brian, Shawzy, Nick, Phil and Dan have all moved to Orlando to attend school and work on new projects. Jon goes to school in Chicago, AJ sings for ADOR and Mike is attending school in South Florida.



We could have honestly written a book about all this, but for now we will keep things short. If you were ever a fan of the music we created, please keep in touch and we promise to come out with new and exciting music in the future. Hope to see you all soon. -FTT

Hi, I'm Phil.I Play the guitar and sing back up for Loomis - 88. We started the band in summer of 2002. It started off as just Brian, Shawzy, and Myself. Then later we decided to add a singer and we got AJ.

I was born in New York then moved here and go to high school at Douglas (sucks)I think the opposite sex is very attracted to me and I totally understandI'm a sex machine.mostly with myself but it's good practice. And between you and me.I'm the sexiest in the band, in my opinion.

I was born in July which means nothing except that I'm the most important part of the band. With out me the band would fall apart and I'm responsible for anything good that happens in the band. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise, Especially Brian. -Phil Alberts

Hey my name is Shawzy, and I don't know my first name. I have been playing bass for a year and a half and I was raised in Coral Springs, FL. I was born April 19, 1987.

During the week I enjoy practicing my bass guitar and going to school so I can catch up on sleep. I am the youngest in the group so that means I'm gunna die after them. I don't drive yet and I don't know what masturbation is. I like to do jackass shit on weekends cuz I do.

Blink - 182 is my favorite band and I also like Green Day a lot. My goal in life is to have a cologne brand owned by me and my friend Brian Poehler "Chill" and to also own a clothing line called "Spanky." Later -Shawzy
