From This Day

Powerful, dynamic, textural, melodic are just 4 of many words to describe the music of From This Day. This 5 piece line up is like a who's who of young modern rock talent of central North Carolina, with each member cutting their teeth in some well known local bands from the late 90's into the 2000's, they have taken what they've learned along the way to form a power house of rock music.
From This Day's music is solidly rooted in Hard Rock but does tread the lines of Metal, Progressive, Nu-Metal and even their influences of 70's and 80's Rock and Pop can be easily heard. Their writing does call back to "better days" when writing a song with substance was most important, however the music of From This Day sounds anything but dated. In fact, the combination of these 5 high caliber musicians create a sound that's fresh and exciting, while being somewhat familiar and is converting fans show after show.
From This Day's shows span from being all original to originals mixed with their "re-worked" versions of their favorite songs to fit the From This Day sound. The band even does all cover shows, as well as bring their same energy and excitement to an all acoustic setting making them one or the most versatile and entertaining bands in the South East.
From the thundering drums, to power house lead vocals, to smooth shimmering backing vocals. From pyrotechnic guitars, and blistering guitar leads to fluid, rhythmic and punchy bass lines the music is full, rich, dynamic, and only part of the whole that is From This Day. Though their debut CD "The Preface" is getting a lot of buzz and great reviews as well as selling better than anticipated, it is only part of it, seeing the band live completes the whole.
