May '10 Update!



Hey guys,

Man, it sure feels good to actually be up and running. Sorry for being so late. We have been working on lots of new things, obviously with the beginning of a whole new band/music/name. We decided to do this because our musical directions were going in a different way, and we just didn't think that keeping the name/songs of FROM IDLE HANDS would make sense. We've put up 2 new songs (with the addition of Justin Davis on guitar) to give you an idea of where we're going with this new direction. Merchandise, new songs, and first show dates are all coming up soon. Keep an eye out. Spread the word to all your friends!

October '09 Update!



Its been a good while since we've updated this thing. I guess its about time to fill you all in on whats going on our way. As some of you may know, we have a new guitar player. His name is Justin, and he's been a part of the FIH camp for about 3 months now. Things have been going pretty well with him. Justin and I were previously in a band together, so the chemistry is flowing just well. We've played a few shows here and there with him, and we appreciate the welcoming that you guys have given him. As for what we're currently doing, we've kinda been under the radar as of late to try and focus on finishing what will be a new album. Been a while since we've released an actual cd, so thats always refreshing. We've been playing the new songs on our player, and played another new one at our last show. We're about 5 1/2 songs deep into the album. We're currently shooting for no later than the end of the year to be prepared to record. The new stuff is coming along well. It has a few new elements to our overall sound. I think the maturity is slowly coming around. We're all stoked for it, and can't wait for you to hear it! On that note, we dont have any shows booked at the moment, but we'll be back out pretty soon. We're just working on fine tuning the songs and rehearsing as much as we can to get it tight for you, and thats is DEFINITELY what she said. We're going to be playing a slew of new songs and some of the oldies from our Self-Titled EP. We're slowing waning ourselves away from playing those songs as much. We're also working on new merchandise designs and a new layout. Be on the lookout for those soon. Anyways, we certainly hope to see you out at some of our shows. July '09 Update!



Whats up everybody? Just rolling in to let you know about some major changes and events that has gone on for us in the past few months. We should start by letting you know that yet again we are having a lineup change. We have decided to MUTUALLY part ways with our co-founding guitarist Chris Chandler. Chris has been pursuing a career in tattoing and has finally became a tattoo artist. We wish him all the luck in the future. He has been an integral part in the creation of this band. We will be having his final show with us at the barn on July 17th. Make sure to come out and support him. As for another new guitarist, we already are working with someone and should be finalized soon. More details regarding that will be released when things are set in stone. Now, onto other things, we just returned home from our first time in Florida on a short tour. It was a good experience for us. It was better summed up as trial by fire. We are about to venture out on a lengthy tour soon in august, preceded by a string of shows in SC and one in New York, which should be pretty fuckin' nasty. We went up to our boy Marshall Wisczorek of WRETCHED, and recorded a sick ass two song demo for you guys to listen to a month and a half back. Hopefully you guys are digging the new tunes. We're diligently writing and could be possibly recording a full-length album by the end of this year. We're going to play as much as possible and get heard by as many people. March '09 Update!



Hey guys! We're just stopping in to give you a little update over in the FIH camp. The shows lately have been a blast. We're really happy and appreciative of how accepting you guys have been at the show since our reformation in October. We just got done with playing The Montreal Assault tour, which was nuts. Things have been going as smooth as they have ever been. We're currently in writing mode, and have some songs ready to demo out as soon as possible. We've already played a few tidbits of new material live. We are trying to record what will be our first full length album sometime in May. We're really excited about the direction of the new material. Its a WHOLE lot faster, heavier, darker, more straight forward, and a bit more technical that our previous releases. Also, we're going to try and begin tour preparation in May, so be on the lookout for us in your town. We have all new merchandise, and we're working on getting up an online store for you. October '08 Update



Hello everyone! It's been quite some time. Well as many of you already know, we have got back together and are ready to rock out with you guys again. There have been some changes that we will go ahead and fill you in on. We are pleased to welcome Ellis Tolbert (Of Undying Love) to the FIH family on guitar replacing Rhett. We parted ways with Rhett because of differences in musical and promotional direction. We just felt it was better to go on without him. We wish him the best of luck in his future musical endeavors and hope the best for him. So other than that, we hope to see you all at the shows we will have coming up soon and we want you all to give Ellis an awesome welcome. So, we'll be seeing you all very soon!

December '07 Update!



What's up everyone? I hope everyone is enjoying their breaks for Christmas and such. We have some news to update on. Some of those who were at the Death By Decibels show know that we now have another new song. It's really fun for us to be doing something different, and we will be taking the time we have from now until our next show to write yet another song, or two, or at least try to have something else new for the next show haha. The past couple of shows we have played have been amazing the crowds have been sick and we hope to keep the shows like that going. We have some new pics from the past 2 shows that we are still needing to put up but haven't got around to it yet, so we'll have those up soon. Also we plan to be recording some of the new songs here really soon. We're pretty stoked about the material and we really want to get it up on the myspace so everyone can see what's up with the new songs!
