Friday Nites

Matt Katz, originally from Coney Island, has spawned a new sound with his newest solo endeavor, Friday Nites.



With years of classical piano training under his belt, Matt's unique style and skillful songwriting has been captivating his audiences since the mid-1990's. He has spent time touring the country as keyboardist for The Bloodsugars and as a solo artist he has played such venues as: The Living Room, The Zipper Factory, Rockwood Music Hall, The Sidewalk Cafe, 169 Bar, Freddie's and The Theater for the New City (opening for Nellie McKay). His single "Love Division" off his album " all of a sudden, the wireless" was featured in heavy rotation on Sirius Out Q.



Now with Friday Nites, Matt has created a soundtrack woven out of the fabric of New York City nightlife that is filled with the sounds of early disco, euro-house, and Flatbush Avenue. These truly unforgettable sounds and hooks are destined to stick in your ear and move your feet.
