Founded in 1997, Freund Hein have established their name by numerous tours and gigs in the European Underground. Since then, they released demos and several CDs of high musical quality and professional sound. On the first albums they still felt dedicated to traditional Metal – Death/Trash in its original form. With the album Chaos Immanent, they created a very off-key (oder unusual) style which so far is uniqe in Metal. During various tours in Austria and abroad, the progressive Psycho-Trash was very well received. Musicians in Austria and even the U.S. became aware oft he band: Doug Wimbish (Living Color, Traja) is since Chaos Immanent a fan of the band. Freund Hein's next steps were the recordings for a new album, BOURBON TRIGGERED DEATH MACHINE. They hired the outstanding Seattle-based producer Matt Bayles (Mastodon, Pearl Jam, Isis, Burned by the Sun), who was enthusiastic about the bands sound. With B.T.D.M., he created his first album outside the U.S. (at Concrete Studio in Goellersdorf, Lower Austria) and subsequently mixed it in the Red Room Studio, Seattle. In this album, the band went back to their Thrash-Metal roots and delivered a terrific album especially suited for Live shows. After negotiations with varios labels Freund Hein decided on the German label Twilight in Luebeck. For 2011 they plan several concerts to ‚thrash' Metal folks' ears with the new production!
