Since he infiltrated the music world in 1997, Freshold has made a name for himself as a producer to look out for, remixer you need to take your release to the next level and the DJ you want to top off your night.

In little over one year he went from playing opening sets at HUM, Breaking Ground & The Remix to playing headline sets and devastating dance floors at Glade, Waveform, Guilfest, Synergy, Antiworld, F(r)action, Alpha Omega, City Breaks, Sunrise, Future Music, Rigged Up, Tribal Medicine and more. Just as likely to be found on the floor as he is to be behind the decks, Freshold is always in tune with the crowd and never fails to exceed expectations. Maybe this is why he was booked to play at not one but two of the dates on Annie Nightingale’s “Radio One Introducing” tour.

“Smashed it” – Froe – The Breakfastaz

Freshold’s production work has to be heard to be believed and played out to a crowd be truly understood. His second to none engineering skills combined with his empathy with the listener is why he has been asked to remix the likes of Mancini, George Duke vs E-S/L, Subsource, The Pheonix Rose, Rob Blake and Kwali. Research into these names will uncover the incredible diversity of the range of acts that have requested his remixing talents, which is one of the many reasons that Freshold is making a name for himself. He has chosen to break the mould and remix a plethora of bands, artists and producers regardless of their genre, rather than mainly remixing within his own scene. His tracks are played regularly on Radio One, BBC Asian Network and Kiss.

“Freshold’s production is just incredible” – Nerm – BBC Asian Network

To say Freshold’s radio work is impressive would be a major understatement. His seamless mixing and “out there” personality has led him to receive requests to appear on BBC Asian Network, Ministry of Sound Radio, Pyro Radio, NSB Radio, Breaks FM, iBreaks, House FM, Passion Radio, and Profile FM. As well as this he has produced and presented his own shows on Kane FM, Profile FM, Level 1 Radio, and Renegade FM with tremendous success. As a result of this he has assumed the role of Station Manager and Head Producer of Breaks & Electro for Kane FM which will be on air in the summer of 2010. This will see Freshold responsible for all of the content and output for Kane FM, as well presenting his own drive time show called Freshold & Friends on Saturdays from 3pm until 6pm.

“I can’t believe I’m trusting you with this” – Ian Handy – MD Kane FM

Freshold has been involved in some of the greatest events the UK has ever seen. Since the beginning of his involvement in the music scene at the age of 14 when he helped to organise under-18s events throughout Surrey, Freshold has pulled out all the stops for every party he has worked with. His continued enthusiasm in putting on bigger and better productions has resulted in seminal arenas such as City Breaks at Sunrise Festival, Brixton Jamm, Turnmills and The Coronet, Archangel Breaks at the Waveform Festival, Cheekyhalf Dance Tent at Guilfest and The Ambient Picnic and Pineapple Tribe at Notting Hill Carnival. As well as his professionalism during the planning stages of these events, he’s also remembered for his actions whilst attending them.

“You crazy bastard” – Jez – The Autobots

Somehow despite all of his above mentioned activities, in 2008 he managed to find the time to play keyboards in the genre-defying new band “Illegal Audio”. Freshold shared the stage with Rob Blake (Guitarist and owner of Uneek Records), Massy Fiocco (previously guitarist for One Minute Silence), Mike Gibbard (Sound Engineer for Maximo Park and Groove Armada), Simon Parry (percussionist for Devil’s Gun), Sam Garner (Drums), Steve Ryan (Bass) and even Sweetie Irie of the Gorillaz "Clint Eastwood" fame!

“If it’s really wrong, it’s always right” – Freshold – ill Audio

As each day passes Freshold’s reputation spreads and he gains more collaborators and allies. He’s already received massive support from Annie Nightingale, Jay Cunning, Nerm, The Autobots, The Breakfastaz, Ctrl-Z, Deekline & Wizard, Far Too Loud, Screwface, ED-209, Ollywood, Broadbeatz, Affinity, Angel Farringdon, Rob Blake, Recktchordz, Deranged, Specimen A, Jazz T, DJ Blakey, Tom Real, Porno Breaks, Hoffman, Model-101, DJ Endo, Somsay, Deekline & Wizard and The Freestylers.
