Mello Milli`On

On July 9, 1986 born the same borough as hip-hop, Mello Milli'on was an average kid growing up in the Bronx, NYC. The oldest of 3 other siblings, Mello could remember clearly sharing a 1 bedroom apartment with his 5 other family members. In a community surrounded by drug dealing, violence and no hope, Mello would do things any normal kid his age would do. From Manhunt to handball, but most of the time you could catch him on the basketball court. " Man, when I picked up a basketball I thought I found what I wanted to do for the rest of my life". Playing from the moment his eyes opened till it was too dark to see the ball, he took constant jump shots with ambition and drive to someday better his living. A dream not impossible for a B student and starting guard for any local team for tournaments at the time. That would later change dramatically when Mello witnessed his first rap cypher at a local bodega. Squeezing through any hole in the large crowd formed at the cypher, he got to the front and could remember the feeling he felt while his life took this dramatic turn. "I always loved music! My father was a rapper in his day and both my parents are big old school music lovers. I was always a fan, but when I witnessed my first cypher I remember going home and sneeking in the bathroom and rapping to myself everyday in the mirror from that day on". Going to school rapping at lunch time while friends banged beats on the table was just another way he would practice for his new found love. Reputation building, Mello was given sudden news he and his family was packing the least minimum amount of items they had and was moving to New Jersey. Doing anything in his power to stay behind in the big apple, his family moved while Mello refused until the day he unpacked his bags in dirty Jersey. Fresh to the Jersey lifestyle, Mello and his family slept on his grandmothers floor until they were able to get a place on their own. Nothing but ups and downs, constant downs kept Mello writing day to day to see more ups. After years of growth, the self proclaimed "Face of the Future" is bringing a swagga of his own to the game. "My music is Me. Who I am, how I live, and things I witness is what I bring to music. Im a unique artist because nobody can be who I am, and who I am is my music". With the support of his right hand man Superproducer RB, Mello Milli'on is a talent with persistance and plays a major role to his teams lifestyle. When asked his future plans, Mello responds "With gods push and my team with me, Im aiming for my whole movement to reach the top". Just reaching the age making him legal to get into clubs, this 21 year old threat is for sure bringing some heat for the new generation to come making him the Face Of the Future!
