FRANKIE P

Frank "Frankie P" Parra was born on March 25, 1986, in the birthplace of Hip-Hop - the Bronx, New York. At the age of two, his family moved to the Washington Heights section of Manhattan. Growing up in "The Heights", a neighborhood known for its tough street life and hardships, played an important developmental role in molding Frankie P into the producer he is today. As a child, his father exposed him to numerous genres of music, including jazz, soul, bachata, merengue and salsa. As he reached his adolescent years, Frankie P started developing a passion for the Hip-Hop culture. Any spare moment of time he had, he found himself studying the history of music, song structure, drum patterns, and the early musicians who pioneered the Hip-Hop movement.



When he reached the age of 15, he took what he learned and applied it to create his own music. With hard work and persistency, Frankie P became fluent on the MPC1000, Yamaha Motif rack, E-MU audity2000 sound module, and Pro Tools. eight years later, he is now one of the top producers in his area, working with dozens of local artists and producing full albums and mix-tapes. Frankie P is one of the most unique and versatile beat-makers in the music industry today.



Frankie P graduated in May of 2008 from SUNY Oneonta, with his Bachelors in Music Industry studies along with a concentration in Audio Arts. Frankie P is emerging as a top young producer.
