Over its first year, the artist struggled with many of the problems that hit a rock band, but in an accelerate pace, having to work with many line-up changes at an early stage. This did not stop Joe Vergara, who overcame the obstacles and by mid 2009, already had a music video on MTV Latin America, and a #1 hit in his home country.
The name of the band comes from an old children's story written by the band's manager in which Frankie Jazz is the name of the main character, who was an aspiring musician whom along a friend, becomes the world’s biggest Rock star in a very funny way.
