Una miscela di blues, funky, soul e rock in chiave acustica ed ecco Francesco Piu, definito dalla rivista Guitar Club "una vera e propria forza della natura!". Accompagnando la propria voce con strumenti quali chitarra acustica, dobro, weissenborn, banjo, lap steel e armonica, questo giovane bluesman sardo si è ritagliato uno spazio di rilievo nel panorama del blues italiano ed internazionale. Partecipando ai più importanti festival del genere (IBC Memphis, Pistoia Blues, Narcao Blues, Trasimeno Blues, Magic Blues, Santa Blues de Tenerife, Blues au Chateau, Blues in Idro per citarne alcuni) ha aperto concerti per John Mayall & The Bluesbreakers, Jimmie Vaughan, Robert Cray, Charlie Musselwhite, The Derek Trucks Band, The Fabulous Thunderbirds, Sonny Landreth, Joe Bonamassa, Larry Carlton, Eric Bibb e suonato con artisti del calibro di Tommy Emmanuel, Guy Davis, Keith Dunn, Kevin Welch, Andy J.Forest, Sandra Hall, Fabio Treves, Van De Sfroos, Sugar Blue e tanti altri. Dopo aver vinto le selezioni nazionali si è esibito nel gennaio 2010 all' INTERNATIONAL BLUES CHALLENGE di Memphis, Tennessee come rappresentante italiano.
Ha all'attivo due album: il primo intitolato BLUES JOURNEY (2007) dove suona tutto da solo, il secondo LIVE AT AMIGDALA THEATRE (2010) in trio.

Singing and playing acoustic guitar, dobro, weissenborn, banjo, lap steel and harmonica this young sardinian bluesman in the last years has increased his importance in italian and international blues overwiev. Playing in most of important blues festivals (IBC Memphis, Pistoia Blues, Narcao Blues, Trasimeno Blues, Magic Blues, Santa Blues de Tenerife, Blues au Chateau, Blues in Idro and many more) opened shows for John Mayall & The Bluesbreakers, Jimmie Vaughan, Robert Cray, Charlie Musselwhite, The Derek Trucks Band, The Fabulous Thunderbirds, Sonny Landreth, Joe Bonamassa, Larry Carlton, Eric Bibb and he played with artists like Tommy Emmanuel, Guy Davis, Keith Dunn, Kevin Welch, Andy J.Forest, Sandra Hall, Fabio Treves, Van De Sfroos, Sugar Blue and many others. After to have won the italian contest, on january 2010 he played at INTERNATIONAL BLUES CHALLENGE in Memphis, Tennessee, representing Italy.
He recorded two albums: the first called BLUES JOURNEY (2007) where he played on his own, the second called LIVE AT AMIGDALA THEATRE (2010) in trio.
