I am Fox Styles; a Music Producer from Spartanburg,SC. I have worked with a variety of artists from Shawn Slugz and Big Yashua to T.I. I have had 2 of my tracks to hit the radio, "We Made It" and "Lil Bit from 2001" (not the 50 Cent track) Currently I have 3 tracks for the DJ Davitto mix tape called "Davitto's Way" and I have 2 tracks to make CHelsea Zan's album from MTV's Making the Band 3. I am also working with Ebone', the Neo-Soul sensation. So I am very busy in the music game.My musical attributes came from my late father who played many instruments. My production influences have been Jay Dilla,Pete Rock,DJ Premier and 9th Wonder. But I thank the "Most High" for my musical abilities.I perfected my production skills at Meta Music in Atlanta,Ga. After coming to the studio to record a beat for Big Ya, I was given an invitation to intern with "The Best Ears in Atl." which I promptly took. I had only been producing for 6 months and I thank Meta for seeing the potential in me.There I worked with Benny Demus. Benny is currently the producer and tour DJ for Akon and he is signed with Convict Musik. Benny took the Radio Avenue and I took the Underground Route. The Back Packer Trail is a long and bumpy road but the respect that you get means so much more to me. Hip Hop is a way of life. It's not all about the cars that you don't own, or jewelry clad grills nor shooting everybody on the face of the Earth. I have a question for all the wanna be thugs, After you have killed everybody on this planet; Then what? Seriously!!! Think about that. Back to the subject,I owe my ear for music to Jarvis Blackshere (the engineer of the South) who has worked for the likes of Young Jeezy, Outkast, and The Dungeon Family plus countless others. He really helped me to find my sound. My goal is to start the revolution to restore Hip Hop to its former glory. The Hip Hop that I fell in love with. There is too much emphasis on "Dumbed Down" music. Hip Hop is so much more. I don't want to be pidgeon holed into 1 style of production but I am most comfortable chopping samples. It is both a skill; an art form and also a challenge that I embark on daily.
