THE LATEST ALBUM

The Fourth Floor machine has been steadily ticking over during the past few months and we're ready to set album number four upon the world.

It's called Victoria. And it's on sale at the iTunes Music Store

It'll be released by the stellar people at Creative Vibes.

It'll be available in all good stores.

It will have tracks in this order:

1. Xmas 88

2. Best Disguise

3. Deadbeat

4. Same Mistake

5. Black and Blue

6. Drive On Regardless

7. All is Forgiven

8. Audrey is Sad

9. Whole Lot Comes Alive

10. Get Up Slow

11. Without Wires

12. The Tigers Are Waiting

13. Someone Else to Blame

The first single is Drive On Regardless.

It makes an excellent gift at any time of year and will make your ears tingle, your eyes water, your heart beat, your knees weak, and your left arm go slightly wobbly.

Keep an eye out round here and at fourthfloorcollapse.com for more details about our new release and for tour dates and other fun stuff.

For everyone that listens to Triple J radio in Australia you can request the new single, Drive On Regardless online at TRIPLE J's SUPER REQUEST, or send a text message to 1975 7 555 or simply call from 6pm nightly on 1300 0555 36.

The Bio

There's no place like a new home. Fourth Floor Collapse upped stumps in 2005 and shifted their base from Perth to Melbourne. Crossed the Plain to play to more people, more often and with a new record under tucked under their collective wings too. 'Books with Broken Spines' is the band's third album and was released in February 2006 to the usual hoo-ha. First single, Drink Till You Drown, got a flogging on the wireless and the second, Occupation, started its occupation of the airwaves in the final week of May.

So here we are. About 250 shows since Dan, Rhys and Michael first played together in Dan's garage as 14-year olds. Yes, it goes back to the schoolyard. Over the next few years they set about becoming the most awarded unsigned band in Australia (10 WAMIs, Australian Live Music Awards, assorted songwriting prizes.), released an EP and a trio of albums, a bunch of singles, gained a following around the country, had national tours, got good airplay from community to commercial radio, got a MySpace site.all that jazz.
