"Were gonna dance the poison away, sweat it out of our skin," sings Fsforo's Rafi Benjamin, as punkadelic guitars swell and skank over a massive reggaetronic rumble, a musical manifesto under-pinned by the synth sub-bass of Edwin Moses and the man-machine drumming of Cez-One. Meanwhile, Spanish-speaking birds chirp out that everything is gonna be alright, Lot's wife meditates on the bittersweetness of being a refugee escaping divine fury, and a desert-dwelling Ocotillo plant tells you to watch out, lest you feel its angry thorns. Welcome to the Fsforo experience.

Bellowing out like Beenie Man channeling the poetic spirit of Bob Dylan, code-switching between English and Spanish like true Los Angelenos, the Fsforo fire is sparked with the great reggae rock of bands like The Clash, No Doubt, and Mano Negra, and fueled with a crunky, grimy, junglistic twist all their own.

Fsforo puts together stunning live performances, weaving together an intricate setup of samplers, synths, pedals, and effects to create tweaked-out electronica, dubbed-out madness, and intense explorations of sound. Notable performance venues include the Temple Bar, the Gig, the Echo, the House of Blues, and countless outdoor festivals and community events. Constantly rehearsing new material and integrating interesting cover songs, Fsforo never plays the same set twice, but manages to improvise new arrangements and directions for their music.

Fsforo's debut full-length Even The Sun features the powerful songwriting and deep rhythms that they have come to be known for. From the North African ragga-rock of "Amapola," with its harrowing portrayal of an obsessed love, to the post-biblical meltdown of "Lot's Wife," from the punky latin reggae of "Pajaritos," to the drum n' bass chantdown of "Watch Your Back," Fsforo's debut effort inhabits the global no-man's land where roots reggae meets breakbeats, jungle, and synthpop.
