Reviews:

"Sure to make a big impression in the near future"

-Dazed & Confused-

“Ram-raiding melody and frantic repetition.

There is unearthed beauty here……Potentially important”

-FLY Magazine-

This offering displays one thing above all - that Footsteps and Voices have the creativity to run and run, with the potential to supplant Radiohead in the future as inventive rock kings.

Music OHM

A stuttering rhythm laying the base for keyboards aplenty, from harpsichord to swelling organ ("Oo-er, missus!", etc), and Luke Albery's sweet vocals being joined to create heavenly harmonies, but it's charm lays in its unpredictability - it lurches from one idea to another, never afraid to change and mutate as it progresses. like a psychedelic concept album all rolled up into one little furry bundle of joy. Sweet!" Play Louder

“Born Without is gorgeous, this insistent swell of glory.captures the intensity and fragility of Coldplay.”

-Chris Adams, Filter Magazine (USA)-

Footsteps and Voices produce perfect guitar pop laden with intelligent hooks and sublime harmonies.

-Piranha-

“A collective bundle of energy, angst, mischief and static interference that will have you coming back for more”

-Running Jump Records-

Footsteps and Voices build 'Mr Savage' up quite quickly from sparse indie to symphonic rock with ever increasing echoes in the background and a relentless driving pace that keeps it all grounded. It's almost like it's been recorded in a church and the statues of the saints decided to contribute to the harmonies.

The twinkles of a metallaphone make a massive contribution to the heavenly sound and as things build up into bigger and bigger chorus lines, it's clear that the vocals are incredibly important to this band.

You'd be hard pressed to find another song that can tug the heartstrings quite this much just using the music and when you start to get into the 'all or nothing' lyrics, it's enough to bring tears to your eyes - in a very manly way, of course.

It's emotional, but it's not EMO - perhaps it's the start of indie-mo?
