hey everyone. FOOTNOTES just got back from IES this past week and had an amazing time. Not only did they have a great time with all the girls there but. THEY WON THE YWIH INTERNATIONAL RISING STAR CONTEST! THEY'RE CHAMPS BABY!!!!!!!



Footnotes started in High school under the direction of Ben Ayling (bass of the Ritz) in 2001/02. That year didnt really consist of anything too big, just a few gigs here and there. The next two years Gary Lewis (tenor of Platinum and Bari of Max Q) replaced Ben as choir director and became our new coach. He whipped our butts into shape and decided that we would compete. We competed in both the Young Women in Harmony Regional Competition and the JAD high school competition winning Gold in both! Later, in July, we competed for our fist time in the Young Women In Harmony Rising Star competition against 25 other groups from around the world and placed 6th! We also had the privilege to record our very own CD 'Best Foot Forward'!
