Dariel, whose given name is Jose Dariel. Gomez is undoubtedly a rising star of Bachata, the most popular musical genre of the Dominican Republic and Latin America. Born June 23, 1989 in Santo Domingo (Dominican Republic), Dariel came into the world destined for a career in music.
At 15 years old, he learned to play the piano, how to write music and began participating in school shows and talent competitions. With the support and encouragement from classmates, Dariel decided to proceed with the career he had dreamed of since childhood. At age 13 Dariel relocated to America and had to assimilate to a new culture and
learn a new language. Dariel matured artistically and personally, and his music also evolved.
With Bachata being Dariel's favorite musical genre, among his inspirations are Aventura and Zacarias Ferreira. Dariel's debut
song "Amar Asi" is the Spanish version of Spandau Ballet's "True".
