In the past 15 years, I got involved in music in many ways, besides having always been a big fan.



I played the guitar in a hardcore band; I am spinning and collecting records for over a decade now; I organized events; I have been mixing, producing and selling HipHop-mixtapes with my small mixtape label back in 2001, I played a 100+ gigs with my former HipHop/Reggae-band as Live-DJ and I was also taking part in two album productions with that band. In 2004 I bought my beloved MPC (2000XL – for those who care) and started programming beatz and diggin’ all kind of records for sampling.



It was about ‘06 when I started to play regularly at local Techno-Events and only a ahort time after that when I decided to embark on producing that great music. Thanks to Ableton I really got stuck with it. In 2009, shortly before finally finishing my academic studies, I called BlueCode Rec. into life. For me that was the next step to be independent in putting out and supporting whatever music I like. My musical background and interest is rather big and DJing always kept something missing in me, so I reduced that to null and focused completely on producing. Therefore it was predictable that I was going to perform a live-act someday instead of playing records. This is the only way to exactly express my musical ideas.



Flip’s music is – according to himself – supposed to be somewhere between older Contexterrior-Releases and Benjamin Fehr’s great Groove Noir. But, of course, it’s up to everyone to judge about the music.
