Hi everyone,!My name is Brian Mello and this is my music myspace home. Yes, I'm the same Brian Mello at brianmellomusic. I'm a flamenco guitarist with Boston's "El Arte Flamenco" and a soloist of all styles of music from flamenco,classical,folk,rock,contemporary, world,etc. I also am involved in music therapy. I come from a musical family, my paternal grandfather was a portuguese musician and luthier and my maternal grandparents were musicians from Austria and France. Iwas introduced to flamenco by the late great Antonio Pacheco a popular jazz guitarist and artist from Southeastern MA who also met and performed with the legendary Django Reinhardt while serving in the military during WWII. He remained a friend and mentor to the end of his life. He's also the father of folksinger and songwriter Tom Pacheco, musician, Paul Pacheco, popular artist Susan Pacheco-Miller,(Who is also the wife of Vern Miller of the legendary Barry and the Remains),. I also studied with the world reknown flamenco guitarist "Chuscales and flamenco guitarist and musical director of El Arte Flamenco, friend and mentor and fellow guitarist, Roberto Rios, father of flamenco dancer Isabel Rios of Boston and Faustino Rios ,lead dancer and instructor in Tampa Florida. I also have been studying various styles of Asian music,especially korean( My father had spent some time there and I was greatly interested while studying Tae Kwon Do. I hope you enjoy my music and hope to upload more recent music and videos soon .*** December update: My new cd "Gypsy Spirit" will be released soon. Two of the tracks "Smiling Eyes" & "Gypsy Princess" (Su Ji) are now on my profile. The cd will contain traditional flamenco & a variety of music influenced by people, places & things that have touched my life. Ive been influenced and researching contemporary & traditional Asian music & have included a track that is my rendition of the Korean song "Sarang". In music, there are no boundries or limitations. I've performed solo & with "El Arte Flamenco" up & down the East coast from Maine to Florida & New York. I've done numerous art exhibits, weddings, plays, Christmas parties, birthday parties, schools, colleges, libraries,New Year's Eve celebrations including Rockport, Ma's First Night & New Bedford'd First Night, many, many restaurants including the famous Columbia Restaurant in Tampa, Florida & Tasca in Brighton, MA, numerous fairs & festivals including New Bedford's Whaling City Festival, New England Folk Festival , Lakeville's Art Festtival, Freetown's Lakeside Festival, King Richard's Faire in Carver, MA,The Multicultural Market Day in Laconia, NH, Festival of Cultural Sharing in Acton/Boxborough,MA, We performed at The Loft in Brattleboro, Vt various theatres in MA, RI, VT &NH. I've done performances for various charitable organizations & fund raisers. And the list goes on. I've been networking lately & have several upcoming shows in the works.
