5ID five impossible dreams

I Five Impossibile Dreams – 5ID – nascono a Livorno alla fine del 2004 da un’idea di Dario “Palline” Palumbo (ex chitarrista dei Chromosomes) e di Daniele Banti (ex bassista dei Noseslide), già insieme negli SNAthings. Dopo varie sostituzioni e alcune performances dal vivo, la formazione si stabilizza nel corso della primavera del 2005, prima con l’entrata di Teresa alla chitarra elettrica e poi con quella di Veronica alla batteria. Da allora i 5ID lavorano senza sosta al nuovo repertorio di brani che presentano, per la prima volta dal vivo, al Cencio’s Club (Prato) nel dicembre 2005, riscuotendo critiche positive da parte di pubblico e addetti ai lavori.



Caratteristica dei 5ID è la molteplicità di esperienze e di gusti musicali tale da rendere la loro musica una fresca miscela di indierock, emo, powerpop: ogni brano composto rivela un mondo a sé, che si crea volta per volta in sala prove grazie al contributo di ogni singolo membro.



Nel giugno 2006 i 5ID si aggiudicano il XII Trofeo Cencio’s, prestigioso concorso per band emergenti bandito dal noto Cencio’s Club di Prato, e ad agosto terminano il loro primo demo ufficiale – 'Please don’t look behind' – realizzato con Fabrizio Brilli (ex Ottavo Padiglione) presso l’Iris Recording Studio di Livorno.



Dell’intensa l’attività live degli ultimi mesi si segnalano i concerti di supporto a White Flag, Fields Forever (progetto acustico di Jon Bunch che riunisce Sense Field e Further Seems Forever), Movies With Heroes e Tonino Carotone.



Recentemente i 5ID hanno partecipato alle compilations 'Toscana Punk Rock v. 1' (TPR - nov/'06) e 'United Forces of Phoenix 2' (Nomadism Rec. - mag/'07).

Five Impossibile Dreams – 5ID – were formed at the end of 2004 in Livorno (Italy), thanks to Dario “Palline” Palumbo (ex-Chromosomes) and Daniele Banti (ex-Noseslide), first together in the emo-core band SNAthings. During 2005, after many changes and some live performances, Teresa and then Veronica joined the band. 5ID started soon to write brand new songs that were played for the first time in the popular Cencio’s Club (Prato-Firenze), December the 16th, meeting positive critiques and audience’s praise.



5ID share different musical experiences (from hardcore to bossanova) and tastes (from grunge to new wave) which they put in an irrestistible mix of indierock, emo and powerpop: every song reveals a world apart that’s part of each member’s feelings, mood and style.



In June 2005 they won the Trofeo Cencio’s Club, a prestigious competition for breakthrough artists from Tuscany. In August they realized the first promo cd – 'Please don’t look behind' – recorded with the special hands (and heart) of Fabrizio Brilli (ex Ottavo Padiglione).



During these years, they supported many international artists like White Flag, Fields Forever (new acoustic project of Jon Bunch that gathers together Sense Field and Further Seems Forever), Movies With Heroes and Tonino Carotone.



Recently 5ID join the indie compilations 'Toscana Punk Rock v. 1' (TRP - out now!) and 'United Forces of Phoenix 2' (Nomadism Rec. - out soon!).
