Welcome to my page The wonderful world of Me! NYL. Here's a little about me and how I became the FIRST LADY. My real name is Nyl! so that there solely belongs to ME!! I was born in Washington DC April 1st, Cuba Father and Dominican mother. I grew up in West Hyattsville, Maryland. I am the first child to start my families generation & grandchild. Ever since I can remember the love of music has been within me, I remember getting two of my cousins and trying to convince them we should be a girl group! But just like every child, they took it as play time and lost interest But me, it just opened my imagination. On my artistic values. I paint, draw, write poetry, and love to read. My aunt, Xiomara was my first inspiration. She was the singer of my family who had her own band, performed with artist like Johnny Ventura, Wilfrido Vargas, Tito Puente, and more. Watching her practice in my basement was Amazing to me. Wanted and swore to be just like her. The very first female that I heard rapping was the Puerto Rican artist Lisa M! Menealo, un poquito! I was soo taken away listening to a female do what the fellas were doing in her time that I started writing raps. I started listening more to my latin music and was excited when I heard Vico C for the first time! Check,te digo que check, estoy checkiando La MOVIDA. shortly after, Magic Juan from Proyecto Uno. I loved the way they introduced the SPANGLISH rap to the industry, especially Magic, he's my idol when it came to the flipping of english and spanish in his lyrics, and homie was smooth with it! The very first time I stepped foot in a recording studio was because of Harold Hall a.k.a Cellar Dwellar's GHOST at the age of 17. The first song I ever wrote for a session was titled "JOY IS WHAT I FEEL" I was soo excited I was shaking for like 10 minutes in front of the mike stand before anything came out. Back then, I was into house music, techno, dance, freestyle, and reggae so most of my first works were inspired from artists like Ace of Base, La Bouche, No Mercy, and others. In my early 20s, I became the female singer of a band called "Zafiro y La Banda Carribe" From the first moment that I stepped foot on stage I WAS HOOKED doing at least 4 shows a week! it was like an Adrenaline rush!!! I needed originality and was tired of singing other artist's songs over and over, night after night, and felt I needed to pursue my dreams a little further and had to explore my options. I later began meeting other artist in the area that liked my voice and started fooling around with tracks during chelchas. We then realized we all had something in common. WE WROTE OUR OWN MUSIC, WE SOUNDED HOT TOGETHER, OUR STYLES COMBINED MADE HITS, all had records and wanted to make records, lol SO the group LATIN OUTLAWS was formed. Three guys, Dominican and Puerto Rican and the first and only Cuminican female, ME! The first album released in (2003) "Aqui Lo Tienes" named after one of the hooks I wrote for the track. A few years with the group, our personal differences caused us to split up and do our own thing. Fuego who's now with Chosen Few was first to leave, then ME!! I started working with other local artist. I became one of the first female artist in my area to sing, rap, english, spanish, fast and slow the way that I did. Was compared to be a spanish female Twister, Vico C, Sade, Kelis, Ivy Queen, Nelly Furtado, and many others at one point because of my different sounds and style. Growing up until now, not one artist was my favorite. LOVED ALL MUSIC to have a personal favorite. I listened to different genres and because of that, there wasn't any track, hip-hop, r & b, techno, house, reggaeton, new age, bachata, salsa, merengue, that I couldn't write to. My only goal was to be HEARD!!!! and they were listening. I've been the First for a lot of things in my life since birth, therefore, have rightfully owned my title to be the First Lady! You can be many things in this life, but when your the first for anything at any moment. YOU WILL ALWAYS BE REMEMBERED!

My songs are inspired by all my personal experiences, or that of friends and family that I care about. I take a moment and make it last forever on any Track. I write My OWN lyrics. I Don't copy, I Don't steal! I do me. Sing/Dance and the whole shebang! I'm original, multitalented and plan on staying that way.

There is only one person on this green earth that I fear, and that's my good Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
