Fire Unit Sqaud was a sound started up by a gifted kid in the music indusrty by the name of "RICKY BLAZE". Ricky Blaze was a kid with a lot of talent and potential in the streets of brooklyn. His playing ability was astuonding and it amazed alot of older kats on what he was capable of. Ricky went along as being a solo selector to doing the total opposite. instead of being a 1 man team he decided to get his friends involved and make things happen. so he created a team of young selectors and trained them to play. some even had skills but ricky coached them on tatics to win crowds over and how to be an m.c to "hype the party up".The UNIT started to get more parties to play at, and in no time FIRE UNIT SQUAD was hit in the young dancehall world. but ricky had an idea(SHOTTAS movie scene right here) "SHANTI KILLA" was another tuff selector making his name on the other side of town in crown heights brooklyn playing for a sound called TOP KNOTCH. A big sound in brooklyn with amps and dubbs to prove. and they had a killing record too. "SHANTI KILLA" and TOP KNOTCH were the winners of a 6 sound clash in 2004, that included alot of good sounds in the brookyln area.And although underdogged and doubted TOP KNOTCH came out victorious. later on that year ricky approached shanti with and idea that shanti couldnt take of his mind.
