Filthy Rich

Richard Guercia known in the industry as Filthy Rich is growing to be an impresario; enterprise, shocking ingenuity and feeling ill at ease pushes him to produce unmarked keyboard lines. Crafting his career from childhood dealing with hearing problems endued him to take over vibrations, rhythm and see reactions building an untouchable talent; music production. A sharp businessman through experience from growing up in a New York City Construction family Rich spent much of his childhood building the parks of New York City, so naturally Rich decided to fuse his passion with business cleverness and applied to Five Towns College. During Rich's Freshman year at Five Towns several professors saw genius skills and encouraged Rich to take on an Atlantic Records internship. Through this internship, interaction with top hip-hop artists, Trick Daddy, Trina, and Nappy Roots trained Rich to promote albums and artists resulting in increased sales, and market share. Following the completion of the internship and an Associates degree in Audio Recording, Rich moved on to Touro College's DMX program. Here Rich met contacts that gave him opportunities to create records for well known underground artists. Then extending his reach he applied and was invited to join Hofstra Universitys Audio and Radio Program, immediately his talent stood out and listeners grew in abundance to hear Filthy Rich as the guest DJ; listeners would wait to hear his opinion on current issues happing in the hip hop industry. Today Rich uncovers artists vocal sounds by laying down dulcet lines, leading appearances on Hofstra Radio, production for artists, and creating beats currently heard by some of the unequaled labels in the industry. In no doubt his name will engraved onto credit list of major artists.
