The first song in the MySpace player is from a new signing to Fence Records, FRÁNÇOIS & THE ATLAS MOUNTAINS. The track is called 'Be Water', and it is taken from his forthcoming album Plaine Inondable which is being released on Fence on December 7th 2009. Fránçois is an multi-talented songwriter, musician, animator and artist, hailing from Saintes, a small town on the west coast of France. For the past couple of years he's been an active member of the Bristol music scene, performing with Movietone (Domino Records), Crescent (Fat Cat Records) and Rozi Plain (Fence Records), as well as being a touring member of Camera Obscura (4AD). An accomplished singer-songwriter in his own right, Fránçois has recorded 3 albums, and a barrage of EP's, released through various labels (including Stitch Stitch, Too Pure, Talitres). Plaine Inondable is his debut for Fence Records - and it is a stunning album. Across ten tracks, piano chords swell, electric guitars gently shimmer, and Fránçois' soft croon ?oats throughout - his bilingual songs melding the bitter-sweet yearning of Leonard Cohen with the melodic playfulness of Serge Gainsbourg and Françoise Hardy.



Fránçois is on tour around the UK throughout November, with support from The Balky Mule (Fat Cat) and Rozi Plain (Fence). See the Fence website for details!

The fourth song in the MySpace player is 'Let Fidelity Break' by FOUND, taken from an E.P. of all new material - that is harder, faster, brighter and more eletronic than anything they've done before. The Fidelities EP is 8 tracks of music spread across two formats - 12" vinyl and CD (which come together in a complete package).

The fifth song in the MySpace player is 'Before The Dark' by The Red Well. The band is the brainchild of Jim Abel, a songwriter from Edinburgh - who has been a part of the Fence Collective for a wee while now. The song is taken from his debut album, 'Amid Storms We Arrive', which was released on Fence Records on March 2nd. BUY THE RED WELL ALBUM HERE!



The sixth song in the MySpace player, 'Quarter Inch', is by HMS GINAFORE, and features on her upcoming collaboration with KING CREOSOTE, entitled LOVE + HATE = HATE. The seventh track is 'Ear Against The Wireless' by KING CREOSOTE, and features on his latest home-recorded opus (deep breath now) 'They Flock Like Vulcans To See Old Jupiter Eyes On His Home Craters'.
