Femi Tabú was formed in Los Angeles in 2000
by lead singer/guitarist Pamela Acosta and
rhythm guitarist Jessica Ledesma. The two
instantly became musical mates having met with
the same aspirations of wanting to wander
into the untamed world of Rock en Español.
After performing for several years as an all girl Rock en Español band,
Jessica & Pamela decided to kick it up a notch by adding new members.
Femi Tabú has become a sonic power house with the addition
of drummer Andre Aidian, Keith Dowling on bass & Orbel Babayan
on lead guitar.
Femi Tabú has united their diverse musical
backgrounds to become one of the most
innovative Indie Rock en Español bands
performing in the L.A. scene of today.
Sound: The band has created their own sound
from radio friendly hard edge pop to raw rock n roll grooves.
With a mixture of cranked amplifiers along
with rockin guitars the band keeps the warmth
of the old, yet the freshness of something new.
Band Mates: Femi Tabú has one thing in common
which is the dedicated passion to create music. With a mixture of their
ethnic backgrounds, Argentina, Colombia, Armenia, Iran, Germany,
Uruguay & USA , Femi Tabú’s music will move you to the core.
They are truly a unique Rock en Español band.
