One of my older brother's first girlfriends found an old child-sized acoustic guitar laying by the trash that someone was throwing out. She put new strings on it and gave it to my brother as a present. He had some interest in it and learned a couple of songs. I had more interest that he did and I tried to get as much sound out of that tiny guitar as i could. I finally asked my parents for a real guitar. This was some request considering that i come from a family of six kids. My mom asked if my brothers and sisters were willing to take a cut from their toys that Christmas so she could get me a guitar. My brothers and sisters told my mom that she should get me a guitar because i never really asked for anything. I still have that same guitar 12 years later.
